How often should I get my RO water purifier serviced?
We recommend a general service and inspection every 6 months. Regular maintenance ensures optimal water quality, prevents sudden breakdowns, and prolongs the life of the internal components like the RO membrane and pump.
When do I need to change the filters in my RO system?
Pre-filters (the outer white filter) should typically be changed every 3 to 4 months. Carbon filters and the main RO membrane usually last between 12 to 24 months, depending on your daily water usage and the TDS level of your raw water.
What is the ideal TDS level for safe drinking water?
For healthy and sweet-tasting drinking water, the ideal TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) level should be maintained between 50 and 150 ppm. Our technicians carry digital TDS meters to accurately check and adjust the TDS of your purified water.
Why is my RO purifier making a vibrating or loud noise?
Unusual noises usually come from the booster pump. It could be due to air trapped in the system, low input water pressure, or a pump that needs repair/replacement. Please book a service so our technician can diagnose the exact issue.
What is included in your Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC)?
Our comprehensive AMC packages give you complete peace of mind. It includes scheduled periodic maintenance, free replacement of consumable filters (pre-filter, carbon, sediment), and zero visiting charges for any emergency breakdown repairs during the year.
Why does the purified water taste bitter or unusual?
A bitter taste often indicates that the TDS level has dropped too low or that the post-carbon filter (taste enhancer) has expired. A quick service visit to replace the taste enhancer and adjust the TDS controller will restore the natural, sweet taste of the water.
My RO is continuously rejecting water and the tank isn't filling. Why?
This happens when the RO membrane gets choked with impurities or if the Auto-Shut-Off (ASV) valve malfunctions. It requires immediate attention, as continuous running can damage the booster pump. Please turn off the machine and book a repair.
